It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Harold “Hal” Ralph Nelson on December 27th, 2022 at his home in Menomonee Falls, WI. He was born May 5th, 1943 in Joliet, Illinois to Ralph and Dolly Nelson. Hal was raised in Oconto and Wauwatosa, Wisconsin. He graduated from Tosa East High School where he lettered in golf, winning many tournaments including the Wisconsin Public LInks Championship.

Hal was a carefree spirit who loved nothing more than spending time with his family and friends. He had a passion for golf and throughout the years recorded three hole-in-ones. He also enjoyed following the Bucks, Packers, and Brewers. He lived life on his own terms, always ready to seize the moment and make the most of it.

Hal worked as a District manager for the Milwaukee Journal before transitioning to a career in route sales. In his life, he also worked at Bonded Messenger, Dannon Yogurt, and Taylor Express. During Hal’s marriage to Patricia, they shared the experience of raising 3 amazing and loving children. Rick (Linda), Joy (Dr. Thomas) George, and Robin Ariens, as well as being the proud grandfather of 13 grandchildren. He also had the lifelong privilege of loving and enjoying the fellowship of the entire Hyps-Kern extended family.

Hal will be greatly missed forever by all who knew him, but his carefree spirit and love for life will live on in the memories of those he left behind.

Funeral Mass will be held on January 11th, 2023 at 9:30 AM at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church, 524 W. Historic Mitchell Street, Milwaukee WI 53204
